Entry 1
Today was my first day with Aunt Rachel and I loved it. It was so great because I met two kids that're pretty cool. I think I'm gonna to try to be friends with them but I hope they'll like me. I hope that Scout won't ask me too many more questions about my family. It's kinda annoyin' how she be askin' questions all the dern time, but I thank I still wanna be friends with her. I liked her brother, Jem, a lot; he was funny and he minded his own beeswax about my dad.
I always wonder why I have to go to different people's houses all the time and why I don't have a mom or a dad; I hope Aunt Rachel can answer them questions some day. Jem and Scout told me about "the Radley house" today and I thank it sounds really creepy. Jem warned me not to go over there because he says that some guy named Boo Radley live there. Apparently, he's a really weird person who know one has seen for a long time. I still want to go inside the house and see Boo Radley in person to see if everything Jem told me about him was true or not. I hope I can convince Jem to get Boo Radley to come out of his house somehow.
Entry 2
Today Jem, Scout, and I tried to give a message to Boo Radley encouragin' him to come out of his house and talk to us. I told Scout what we were goin' do and she started tryin' to tell us all the reasons why we shouldn't do it. But Jem shut her up right quick and she went along with the plan. I was standin' near the fence of the Radley's place and was looking around the yard. The house looked like the house that I saw Dracula livin' in in the Dracula movie that I saw, which looked like a mix between a haunted house and a graveyard. I looked over at Jem for a couple seconds to see how he was doin' with getting the message in the house when the next thing I know Atticus is standing right behind me. I started ringing the bell, which I had in case the plan went south, like crazy to get the others' attention but it didn't help. Atticus went down hard on Jem about why what he was trying to do was wrong, but I still wanted to see Boo Radley. In fact, I now wanted to see Boo even more. I think I'm going to try and convince Jem to try and get Boo Radley to come out one more time.
