Loss of innocence is when you're young and something happens to you that is life changing. Loss of innocence can affect a person in a positive or negative way depending on how they view it. Loss of innocence usually happens to a family member because to most people their family is the most important to them. People know when their loss of innocence occurs because it's something that just comes naturally to them. Loss of innocence is hard to get over in the beginning but eventually it will become smaller and it will make you stronger.
My dad's loss of innocence was when John F. Kennedy was assassinated. This was his loss of innocence because it was the first time that something life changing had happened to him. John F. Kennedy had great ideas that a lot of Americans believed in and thought that would change the U.S forever. When he died it made him realize that anyone can die at any moment and it's important to cherish every moment you can get with someone. That's what loss of innocence is and what my dad's loss of innocence was.
